Celine’s Story
Celine is a Romanian 17-year old living in Northern Ireland. She’s lived most of her life as a migrant, first in Norway, where she spent nearly seven years, and now in Northern Ireland. She studies for her A levels in English Literature, Government and Politics, and Sociology. All those subjects align with her deep sense of justice and equity. She dreams of becoming a human rights lawyer, driven by a desire to stand up for others and to speak up for those unheard. Even though she lives with deafness, this has only strengthened her desire to advocate for others and bridge divides between people. She’s determined to have her voice heard despite her deafness and not to let it limit her ambitions. Instead, it has fuelled her passion to ensure that all voices should be valued and that no one is left out or overlooked.
