From Syria to Yorkshire - A Refugee story

Come join us at Wheeler Hall for an inspiring event where you'll hear firsthand the journey of refugees travelling from Syria to Yorkshire. A Syrian family living in the Yorkshire area will speak about their experience of getting to the UK and of resettlement here.

There will be the opportunity to sample some Syrian food as part of this event but please note that we cannot cater for any food allergies. We are asking people to register to attend so that we can cater for the numbers expected.

This event is being held on the World Day of Migrants and Refugees. Every year the this is held on the last Sunday of September. As the title for his annual message, Pope Francishas chosen God walks with His people.

Leeds Church Institute will also provide a unique experience of faith and creativity

This event has been organised by SPARK Social Justice working in partnership with Caritas Catholic Care, the social action agency of the Diocese of Leeds.
