This is open to all migrants in the UK who might be affected: EU citizens and non-EU family members with (pre) settled status as well as nationals of all other countries whose BRP/BRCs are set to be replaced by eVisas.

It has just been revealed that Ministers are postponing the full shift to eVisas that was due to happen from January 1st. This finally acknowledges what we’ve been warning about for over six years: the system is flawed and puts people at risk of getting stranded abroad.

But it’s not enough. It's time to fix the digital status system for good, rather than kicking the can further down the road.

We are calling for a public inquiry into the harm already caused by this flawed digital-only systems, the risks ahead if it were to be expanded to millions more people and to look into better alternatives, such as the3million's proposal for a more secure and user-friendly system for checking digital status and eVisas, complemented by a physical back up for people who struggle with technology.

Together we can push for a better system that is fit for purpose, that protects our rights to live and work in the UK and avoids travel chaos!
